How to Download the Client Attribute Table in NetDocuments

Posted in NetDocuments Tips, NetDocuments User Tips on July 24, 2025 by Jeff Ong

Managing client data in NetDocuments is easier when you can export your lookup tables into a spreadsheet. This allows for quick auditing, updates, and reporting. In this guide, we’ll walk you through downloading the Client Attribute table from the NetDocuments Admin Console.  You could really do the same steps for all the Profile Attributes in NetDocuments.

Why Download the Client Attribute Table?

The Client Attribute table contains all the defined client values in your workspace. Exporting this table allows administrators to:

  • Audit existing client values

  • Clean up duplicates or outdated entries

  • Prepare for migrations or integrations

  • Generate reports for internal use

Steps to Download the Client Attribute Table

Step 1. Sign in to your NetDocuments account from your browser.

Step 2. In the top-right corner, click your username (or profile picture).

Step 3. From the dropdown menu, select Admin to open the Admin Console.

Step 4. In the Admin Console, click Profile Attributes.

Step 5. Find the attribute labeled Client and click.

Step 6. On the Lookup Table window, select Download table.

Step 7. NetDocuments will download a .csv file containing all Client entries.

Step 8. Go to your Downloads folder on your computer and locate the downloaded file, usually named 1001 - Client.csv.

Step 9. Double-click the file to open it in Excel or your preferred spreadsheet software.
