YOU SHOULD STOP USING EMS AND SWITCH OVER TO NDOFFICE.
The EMS (Email Management System) Profiler is a super quick way for saving Outlook Emails. Once its installed on your computer, there are a couple of options you need to configure.
In Outlook, Go to File –> EMS Profiler
The first option allows you to choose which Cabinet you want to use with the EMS Profiler. The profiler is used with only one Cabinet (use ND Save for other cabinets) and it is usually your client cabinet. In the example above, I only have EMS turned on for one Cabinet (Matter Documents), so there are no other cabinets to choose.
When a message is stored in NetDocuments:
Remove it from Outlook will move the email to your Deleted Items in Outlook, while Keep a copy in Outlook leaves the email where it is.
TIP: The EMS Profiler does not prompt to tell you it has saved the email, it just saves it. Users that chosen Keep a copy in Outlook can get uncomfortable because they don’t have proof the email goes into NetDocuments. NetDocuments should have inserted an ND Column header in Outlook.
A Yes next to an email is your verification that it uploaded into NetDocuments.
Prompt to file outgoing messages will ask you if you want to save an email every time you send one. Turn this on.
Show Access field will allow you to choose if an email is standard or private. Standard is the default and just saves the email. If you choose private, you will be the only person that can view that email in NetDocuments
