How to Get NetDocuments to Work with the Brave Web Browser

Brave’s privacy-first approach and fast performance make it an appealing browser choice. However, its aggressive ad and tracker blocking—called Shields—can interfere with NetDocuments functionality. If you’re experiencing issues, here’s a quick fix.

The Solution: Disable Shields for NetDocuments

  1. Log in to NetDocuments
  2. Click the Brave icon (the lion) in the address bar
  3. Turn off Shields for NetDocuments

That’s it. With Shields disabled for the NetDocuments site, you’ll have full functionality while maintaining Brave’s protections everywhere else.

Why This Works

Brave Shields blocks scripts and trackers by default, which can break web applications that rely on certain scripts to function properly. Disabling Shields for a specific site creates an exception, allowing NetDocuments to load all necessary components while keeping your protection active on other sites.
